Ar.Kripa is the Founder and Principal Landscape Architect at Thinking Hats Landscape Architecture Studio. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to shaping landscapes that meaningfully connect people, ecology, and place.
With a background in architecture from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam and a Master’s in Landscape Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, she brings a strong spatial foundation to her landscape practice. Early professional experience in Bangalore further shaped her approach to working across scales and in collaboration with diverse teams.
Since establishing the studio in Calicut in 2017, Kripa has led projects that explore landscapes as performative environments — spaces designed to support gathering, learning, play, healing, and everyday life. Her approach integrates ecological responsibility with design clarity, creating environments that are rooted, resilient, and enduring.

Co-Founder & Principal Landscape Architect
Nikilsha is the Co-Founder and Principal Landscape Architect at Thinking Hats Landscape Architecture Studio. Trained in architecture at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam and in Landscape Architecture at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, she brings a strong ecological and systems-based perspective to the studio’s work.
Her experience spans professional practice in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, along with academic roles at the National Institute of Technology Calicut and DG College of Architecture. This combination has shaped her research-oriented and context-sensitive approach to design.
Nikilsha focuses on sustainable development and ecological planning, with a particular interest in public and biodiversity-driven landscapes. She believes landscapes must respond to climate, community, and context — creating resilient environments that grow meaningfully over time.
