Design Approach: Hillside-Integrated Contemporary Landscape
Set within the larger vision of Montana Estates, this 30-cent residential landscape is conceived as a seamless extension of the estate’s hillscape character — a refined fraction of the whole. The design responds to the sloping terrain and panoramic views through layered greens, structured lawns, and dense peripheral planting that visually merge the residence with the surrounding hills. Clean architectural volumes are softened by immersive tropical planting, allowing the built form to rest gently within its terrain.
A key thematic layer is introduced through metallic lanterns and a reflective koi pond that anchors the forecourt. At its center, a vibrant bullock cart installation becomes a sculptural focal point — blending nostalgia with contemporary expression. The water surface mirrors the sky and the lantern glow, creating a poetic evening ambience. Together, these elements infuse the landscape with identity and memory, while remaining harmoniously integrated within the larger Montana hillside narrative.
